BLOGGING- UGHHH!!!  I am so thankful our Computer Applications instructor exposed us to the demands of blogging.  For me blogging is about neglecting my blog, because I can’t think of anything worth writing about!  However, I did like tinkering with the look of my blog, which leads me to to my opinions on…

Website Design using HTML and CSS  with and without Dreamweaver- It has been all of the identity-creating excitement of creating a blog without the need for constant up-keep.  There is an overwhelming amount of info on web design, but I think I would really enjoy it after I had some basics under my belt.  I am fairly certain I don’t want to freelance or own my own business, but working on a team or for a web design company is a little appealing.

Adobe Illustrator-  I love it.  It is comfortable.  It is natural.  It is clean.  I <3 vectors.  Because I’m easily distracted by the internet, outdoors, kitchen, and etc. working from home is probably not the best avenue for me.  It does have its perks…I can move anywhere as long as I have internet!

Adobe Photoshop-The more techniques I learn in Illustrator the more I forget in Photoshop.  It is always a useful tool.  I could benefit from some time with a CIB though.

Medical Illustration-UGH!  love/hate.  I love to draw from a subject, but I hate “visualizing.”  Slowly I’m narrowing my strengths and weaknesses in the vast discipline of art.  There is a deficiency in my ability to imagine how an object looks if I can’t see it.  I have known for quite some time that I can easily create a realistic portrait from a model or picture, but I wouldn’t even know how to begin creating a caricature of a well-known friend.

Animation- Tons of fun.  It’s magical.  I have only made a few very rough animations with the simplest techniques available, so I’ll probably lag behind my classmates.  I think I will enjoy Flash.

Anatomy- LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!  I could retake anatomy for the rest of my life and never be bored.  there always seems to be more complicated structures to learn.  It would be fun to be an anatomy teacher.  The drawbacks: awkward moments when students ask me about physiology, and I hate being around those nasty chemicals.

Drawing age-progressed faces of missing children- If only there were a demand

Anaplastology- The reason I came to this program.  I hope I can get my act together and find my niche here.  There is so much I do not know about the profession.  I do know that I am motivated by the positive impact I could have on someone’s life.  Although money is GREAT I know from past experience that it won’t wake me up each morning.
